Please excuse the bad quality photos!!
All of the Max and Iris range is made right here in sunny Westen Australia, the current range was mostly made on my living room floor watching season four of The Tudors! (the Duke of Suffolk...swooonnnnnn).
Basically I try and do it assembly line to maximise effecincy.
So first up, I make all the yoyos and kanashi flowers (if they are part of the hair accessory). I usually do this when watching tv, watching the kids play sport ect ect.
I bag these in zip lock bags ready for assembly line. Every component has it's own bag, including the clips, the grippers (the things that go in the clip to help it grip to hair) ect ect.
Then I get the assembly line organised. Each component is arranged, ready for the glue gun as you can see above.
After they are all assembled, they are mounted on card stock and in the case of the headbands, bagged as well.
And because I detest wasting time looking for stuff, all of the individual pieces are then arranged in my work area in boxes.
These are the clips, I popped on an actual clip onto the box, for the headbands (not pictured), I printed out a picture of each one and glued that to the box for easy refernce.
I think I need to add the codes too though ;) A job for next weekends to do list I think!
So as orders come in, it is a matter of pulling out the boxes and sorting out the orders. Easy Peasy!
Thanks for dropping by!
How do you like to keep your work spaces organised?
